These trees are few in number and require long treks into the forest to pick. For these reasons not many producers in Fu'an make this tea anymore. It’s a shame because it's the purest expression of the Tanyang Cai Cha varietal and the forest environment it grows in. It has a smooth, mouth-watering texture, clean woody taste, and refreshing character. Unlike last year's Old Bush Tanyang Gongfu, this one has been charcoal roasted.
