While the Yashi Xiang dancong variety originates from Ping Keng Tou Village, it is also grown on the famous Wudong Mountain. Genuine Wudong dancong often reaches this $1 per gram price point, being sought after for its long-lasting aftertaste. This Old Bush Wudong Yashi Xiang has a different character compared to the Old Bush Ping Keng Tou, with a longer finish, and more fruitiness instead of creaminess. Some experts in Chaozhou consider Wudong Yashi Xiang to be so different to the classic Ping Keng Tou Yashi Xiang that they name it 'Honeysuckle Aroma' instead. It's worth trying this tea side-by-side with the Ping Keng Tou Yashi Xiang, to taste the effect terroir can have on the same cultivar.
