Grandpa style is how most people in China brew tea. It is also the simplest way to brew, just putting loose leaf tea in a large cup and refilling without any regard for steep times or water temperature. In Hangzhou its common to see people sitting outside with a glass of longjing brewed this way.
To brew 'grandpa style':
throw enough leaves in to cover the bottom of the glass
wet the leaves with little bit of hot water and smell the aroma
