Autumn Harvest in Zhangping
Filmed in an observational style, this film documents an average autumn harvest day on an oolong tea farm in Zhangping, Fujian. Over 24 hours, we see how a batch of Zhangping Shui Xian is made, a unique compressed oolong tea from Southern Fujian. We filmed this video over a couple of days in October 2025, while staying at the tea farm. In early morning we filmed the picking. By 5am the next day, we filmed the kill-green process. Special thanks to Mr Wang for letting us film. His Spring charcoal roasted tea is available here.

Interview with Zeng Puyu
Zeng Puyu is an award-winning producer of Zhangping Shui Xian oolong tea. She is the only female producer among the 41 Intangible Cultural Heritage producers of Zhangping Shui Xian. In this interview she shares her story and explains harvesting and picking standards for Zhangping Shui Xian. We put together a sample set of three of her teas, including two unroasted teas and one prize-winning roasted iteration. Her teas have a distinctive style of slightly heavier oxidation and tighter rolling.
