Dianhong 滇红 refers to red (black) teas made in Yunnan Province. While Yunnan has excellent tree resources, for many farmers red tea is a secondary product behind pu’er tea. The key to sourcing dianhong is finding not only high quality material but also producers who are truly skilled at red tea techniques.
