Mindong (Eastern Fujian)

Featuring both coastal cities and mountainous areas, Mindong is the birthplace of Panyong Congou, a historic red tea from Tanyang Village in Fu'an. Taking advantage of inland river transport systems and coastal ports in this area, Panyong Congou was exported in large quantities during the 19th and 20th centuries.
