This tea uses a blend of two cultivars named after flowers: Zi Mei Gui (Purple Rose) and Jin Mu Dan (Golden Peony). Unlike other blends, where maocha or even finished teas are mixed together, in this case the fresh leaves are mixed from the very beginning. These two cultivars grow side by side in the same garden. Immediately after picking, the fresh Zi Mei Gui and Jin Mu Dan leaves are mixed together. The two cultivars then go through withering and every subsequent processing step together, including a charcoal bake finish, ensuring a thorough blending of their aromas. The result is an innovative Panyong Congou that unites complementary aromas with excellent balance and texture.
Suggested Brewing: 5g or 7g in a 100ml porcelain vessel
