This first Zhangping Shui Xian for the 2026 season is made from spring leaves from a higher altitude abandoned garden. Here the Shui Xian bushes have been left to grow unmanaged since planting. Processed in a Qing Xiang style with a very light charcoal bake. We interviewed Mr Shen Tian Xing last year for our documentary. He is an experienced producer in the core Nanyang Town production area.
Smooth, thick, and durable, with a bit more complexity than an average Zhangping Shui Xian. We recommend brewing as the locals do in Zhangping: steeping a whole cake in a 100ml-120ml gaiwan.
