Like Yangmei Ye, this phoenix dancong is named for the shape of its leaves rather than its fragrance type. The Zhu Ye cultivar has long spindly leaves, resembling bamboo leaves. This one comes from the famous Da'an Village. Situated at 950m elevation, Da'an is known for its abundant ancient gardens, with over 1000 trees aged over 200 years. This dancong has been charcoal roasted twice since Spring 2025 harvest, and balances a smooth texture with hui gan.
We suggest trying different brew methods for this one in addition to typical 1g:10ml ratio Chaozhou brewing.
